  12. four new members of his Administration today, announcing his
  13. intention to nominate Richard Moose to be Under Secretary of
  14. State for Management; Gordon Linton to be Administrator of the
  15. Federal Transit Administration; Louise Stoll to be Assistant
  16. Secretary of Transportation for Budget and Programs; and Anne
  17. Lewis to be Assistant Secretary of Labor for Public Affairs.

  20. Clinton.  "Richard Moose brings significant experience in both
  21. foreign affairs and corporate management to the task of making
  22. the State Department work more efficiently.  Gordon Linton is a
  23. distinguished public servant with an unquestionable knowledge of
  24. transportation matters.  Louise Stoll has been a leader in both
  25. the private and public sectors in managing large endevors.  Anne
  26. Lewis has a tremendous sense of the concerns of working
  27. Americans.  I am honored that all four of them will be joining my
  28. Administration."

  30.      Richard Moose, a former Foreign Service, National Security
  31. Council, and Senate Foreign Relations Committee staffer, is the
  32. senior vice president for international and government affairs at
  33. the American Express Company.  He previously worked for Sherson
  34. Lehman Brothers as managing director of international financial
  35. advisory activities from 1985-88, and as a senior advisor to
  36. Lehman Brothers Kuhn Loeb from 1981-85.  During the Carter
  37. Administration, Moose served at the State Department as Deputy
  38. Undersecretary for Management and as Assistant Secretary for
  39. African Affairs.  Prior to that, he had been on the staff of the
  40. Senate Foreign Relations Committee from 1969-76, and on the
  41. National Security Council staff from 1966-69.  He had previously
  42. served in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Foreign Service.  A native
  43. Arkansan, Moose holds a B.A. from Hendrix College and a masters
  44. in internatinoal relations from Columbia University.
  45.      Gordon Linton has represented Pennsylvania's 200th
  46. Legislative District in the State House of Representatives since
  47. 1982, serving as Vice Chairman of the Appropriations Committee,
  48. and Chairman of its Subcommittees on Public Transportation and
  49. Education.  He was also Chairmnan of the Legislative Black
  50. Caucus.  Before his election to the legislature, Linton was the
  51. Eastern Regional Administrator of the Pennsylvania Office of the
  52. Auditor General.  He had previously been an administrator of
  53. child care programs in Philadelphia.  He holds an associate
  54. degree from Pierce Junior College, a bachelors from Lincoln
  55. University, and a masters in education from Antioch University.

  57.      Louise Stoll is Senior Vice President of O'Brien-Kreitzberg
  58. & Associates, Inc., a construction management firm which
  59. specializes in managing major public works projects across the
  60. country.  Before joining that firm in 1985, she was Director of
  61. Budgets and Grants for the San Francisco Public Utilities
  62. Commission.  She had previously been Manager of Government and
  63. Public Affairs of the San Francisco Clean Water Program, and a
  64. Trustee of the Berkeley, CA Unified School District.  She holds a
  65. B.A. and an M.A. from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from
  66. the University of California, Berkeley.

  68.      Anne Lewis who served as a member of the Clinton/Gore
  69. Transition Health Reform Team, was Director of Great American
  70. Media, which managed paid advertisements for the Clinton/Gore
  71. campaign and the Democratic National Committee during the 1992
  72. presidential campaign.  She had previously been Legislative
  73. Director to Senator Harris Wofford and Chief of Staff to Senator
  74. Carl Levin.  Lewis also worked on the Dukakis, Biden, and Mondale
  75. presidential campaigns, and was Senior Account Executive of the
  76. FMR Group.  She is a graduate of Smith College and of Harvard
  77. University's Kennedy School of Government.
